Warehouse-Automation Robotics Company
A warehouse-automation robotics company rebuilt its opportunity funnel and forecast categories in Sales Cloud, giving leadership a pipeline that maps cleanly to commit, upside, and best-case forecasting.
The client is a venture-backed robotics and AI company that builds vision and control software for warehouse automation, deploying AI-powered robotic systems for fulfillment and logistics operations. The company's Sales Cloud org had drifted: opportunity stages, fields, and page layouts no longer matched how the team actually sold complex, high-value deals. The goal was a disciplined, forecastable sales process the executive team could trust.
The challenge
Opportunity stages carried no consistent probability or forecast-category logic, so pipeline reporting did not reflect real deal confidence. Page layouts were cluttered with unused fields and quick actions, and reps could advance deals without entering the next step, a due date, or a contact role. The team also needed product and pricing structure to handle quotes, upsell, and renewals, none of which were configured.
The solution
SiiMPLY7 redesigned the opportunity funnel with defined stages, probability defaults, and forecast categories so each stage rolls up to pipeline, upside, or commit. The team mapped a full path from discovery and qualification through technical win, budgeted, and negotiation. Validation rules now enforce that next step, a future due date, and a contact role are populated on new opportunities. Product and price book records with opportunity line items, pricing approvals, and dedicated upsell and renewal line item setup were configured, and Einstein Activity Capture connected email and calendar.
Implementation highlights
What we built.
- Opportunity stages rebuilt with probability defaults mapped to pipeline, upside, and commit forecast categories
- Validation rules requiring next step, a future next-step due date, and a contact role on new opportunities
- Opportunity page layout cleanup and removal of unused quick actions
- Product and price book configuration with opportunity line items
- Pricing approval process plus upsell and renewal opportunity line item setup
- Einstein Activity Capture for email and calendar, with permission set and sharing optimization
Results
Every stage now rolls into a defined forecast category, giving leadership a commit, upside, and best-case view
Validation rules enforce next steps and contact roles, reducing stalled or incomplete opportunities
Structured line items and pricing approvals standardize how expansion deals are quoted and tracked
Engagement summary
SiiMPLY7 delivered a redesigned opportunity model, enforced data quality through validation rules, and configured products, pricing approvals, and renewal handling, all built and tested in a sandbox before production.
What's next
A field update and migration across open opportunities is planned, along with a CRM integration to unify lead and marketing data, automated renewal opportunity generation, and continued layout refinements as the team scales.
