Specialty Cracker & Snack Manufacturer
A specialty cracker and baked-snack manufacturer moved off spreadsheet forecasting onto a connected Sales Cloud platform, with live Sage 100 ERP data feeding region- and product-level forecasts.
The client is a specialty cracker and flatbread manufacturer, a multi-generation, family-owned bakery that produces more than 20 varieties of Non-GMO, Certified Organic, and Vegan crackers and flatbreads under several brands. Sales ran on spreadsheets, website leads were handled by hand, and customer, order, and invoice data lived in a Sage 100 ERP disconnected from any CRM. SiiMPLY7 was engaged to stand up Sales Cloud, connect it to Sage 100, and replace quarterly spreadsheet forecasting with a native Salesforce process.
The challenge
Quarterly forecasting was done in spreadsheets, so leadership could not reliably compare forecast against actuals by region or product. Website inquiries were captured manually and inconsistently. Sales history, orders, and invoices sat in Sage 100 with no connection to the sales team's day-to-day tools, leaving reps and managers without a single view of the customer.
The solution
SiiMPLY7 implemented Sales Cloud core with lead, opportunity, account, activity, and approval management, and added a Web-to-Lead form to ingest website inquiries directly. The team integrated Sage 100 using Commercient SYNC to bring customers, sales orders, invoices, and product data into Salesforce, with sync logging and admin alerts. On that connected data, SiiMPLY7 built a native forecasting framework with monthly and quarterly inputs by region and product and historical actuals auto-populated for forecast-versus-actual comparison.
