Specialty Rare-Disease Pharmacy

A specialty pharmacy moved business development tracking off spreadsheets into Salesforce Enterprise, giving leadership real-time pipeline visibility.

Sales Cloud (Enterprise)Einstein Activity CaptureCustom Drug Object

This specialty pharmacy distributes high-touch therapies for rare diseases by mail order. Its business development team tracked manufacturer opportunities in spreadsheets and slide decks, leaving leadership without a reliable, current view of the pipeline.

The challenge

Salesforce was in place but barely used, so opportunity data lived in spreadsheets and PowerPoint. Accounts lacked owners, contact records went stale, and reporting was manual and slow. Leadership could not see pipeline progress, FDA-driven priorities, or which drugs and indications mattered most.

The solution

SiiMPLY7 upgraded the org to Salesforce Enterprise Edition and rebuilt the BD team's core CRM, redesigning Account, Contact, and Opportunity models with stage-based pipeline tracking and role-based access. The custom Drug object was preserved and structured into an Account, Opportunity, Drug, Indication hierarchy. Einstein Activity Capture synced Outlook, and dashboards surfaced opportunities, FDA dates, and priorities.
