Fuel Systems & UST Services Contractor
A fuel systems contractor connected Field Service to its mobile inspection app, so technicians correct reports and see current site data.
An engineering and construction firm services fuel systems and underground storage tanks for commercial customers. Technicians completed compliance inspections in a mobile forms app, while locations, contacts, and certifications lived in Field Service.
The challenge
The mobile inspection app could not see changes made in Salesforce, so technicians worked from stale location, contact, and certification data. Correcting a submitted inspection report meant a manual workaround, and the team was also chasing an unexplained data loss issue in the org.
The solution
SiiMPLY7 investigated and resolved the data loss issue, then built two integrations with the mobile forms platform. A button on the form tracker record sends a correction request to the app through a webhook, and an API sync pushes location, customer, contact, and technician skill and certification updates from Salesforce into the app's databases.
