Commercial Facility Services Company
A commercial services company completed its transition onto Field Service Lightning by automating scheduling, connecting invoicing to its accounting system, and enabling payment collection directly in Salesforce.
A commercial facility services company was already using Field Service Lightning but had reached the point where manual workarounds were slowing the team down. Scheduling was partially automated with custom code that needed to be replaced, invoices were being manually reconciled between Salesforce and the accounting system, and payments could not be collected inside the platform.
The challenge
Existing custom code was creating service appointment schedules rather than using native Maintenance Plans, making the system harder to maintain. Invoice updates made in the accounting system were not reflected in Salesforce automatically. There was no way to take payments inside Salesforce, requiring a separate process for each transaction.
The solution
SiiMPLY7 replaced the custom scheduling code with Salesforce-native Maintenance Plans, then configured Field Service optimization to auto-assign work orders and service appointments to the right resources. The team built a Sage Intacct integration to sync invoice updates back into Salesforce, including tax sync for taxable items, and implemented Chargent to enable payment processing directly from Salesforce records.
