Corporate E-Waste Recycling Company
A corporate e-waste company replaced a complex custom lead-hiding system with a clean, standard Salesforce configuration, giving the team open lead visibility while protecting contact details based on record ownership.
A company that purchases and recycles corporate e-waste had an existing Sales Cloud org that had been heavily customized by a previous partner to prevent sales reps from seeing each other's leads and contacts. The approach had created a fragile, hard-to-maintain org the team wanted to simplify.
The challenge
The previous partner had built a private sharing model with custom code to hide lead and contact information from reps. The implementation had become a maintenance problem and was no longer working as intended. The team wanted to move to a public lead model while still restricting email and phone visibility on converted contacts to their record owners.
The solution
SiiMPLY7 removed the legacy custom code and reconfigured the lead sharing model from private to public, then built a custom Lightning component that restricts access to contact phone numbers and email addresses based on record ownership. A second component allows reps to send emails only from records they own, preserving the data protection intent without the legacy complexity.
