Enterprise Search Software Company
An enterprise software company moved professional services onto Salesforce-based PSA, with projects, resourcing, time, and utilization in one system.
An enterprise search software company runs a professional services team that delivers implementations for its customers. Projects, time, and resourcing were tracked in a separate time-tracking tool, disconnected from the Salesforce customer record.
The challenge
Leaders had no single view of project budgets, bookings, actuals, and margin. Resource planning and skills matching were manual, timecards and expenses lacked consistent approvals, and utilization and capacity were hard to report without stitching data together.
The solution
SiiMPLY7 implemented FinancialForce PSA on Salesforce: regions, practices, rate cards, and fiscal periods; projects by type with milestones, budgets, and rollups for bookings, actuals, billing, costs, and margin; resource planning with skills and utilization; time and expense entry with approval workflows and missing timecard alerts; and utilization and capacity dashboards. Historical data was migrated from the old tool.
