Distributed Energy Marketplace

A distributed energy marketplace replaced a legacy CRM and spreadsheets with Sales Cloud, adding kW forecasting and automated partner onboarding.

Sales CloudCustom ForecastingPardot

An energy flexibility company aggregates capacity from device-maker partners and sells it into wholesale power markets across several states. Its business development process lived in a legacy CRM and spreadsheets, which could not report on the custom data the business runs on.

The challenge

Deals were measured in kilowatts and meter counts, not just revenue, and the legacy tool could not report on those custom fields. Each closed deal started a partner onboarding process tracked by hand, renewals had to be spotted manually, and leadership had no forward view of contracted capacity by month.

The solution

SiiMPLY7 implemented Sales Cloud around the company's partner deal flow: lead stages that gate conversion on site identification, opportunity types for new market, expansion, and renewal, and a custom forecasting tool that schedules revenue and kW over time with adjustable start-date offsets. Closing a deal now creates an onboarding record automatically, and SiiMPLY7 supported the team's own Pardot rollout.
