Developer Tools Software Company

A mid-size developer tools software company moved pipeline waterfall reporting onto Salesforce Revenue Intelligence, giving finance and go-to-market a single source for in-quarter trends.

Revenue IntelligenceSales CloudCRM Analytics

A mid-size developer tools software company that builds code search and navigation software relied on an external revenue tool and ad hoc reports that left finance without clear insight into how pipeline was trending in-quarter. Its revenue and go-to-market teams were understaffed and falling behind on reporting requests. The company engaged SiiMPLY7 to stand up Revenue Intelligence natively on Salesforce as a replacement for its prior tooling.

The challenge

Finance lacked reliable, in-quarter views of pipeline movement, which limited the company's ability to manage two quarters at once and present cleanly to the board. The team needed waterfall reporting that captured every type of pipeline change, including increases, slips, and losses, along with coverage ratios and stage probability. Reporting depended on a third-party platform fed from Salesforce, adding cost and a layer of disconnect from the source data.

The solution

SiiMPLY7 implemented Revenue Intelligence on Sales Cloud using CRM Analytics, sourcing entirely from existing Salesforce data with no external dependencies. The build confirmed the data model and fields, defined calculation and aggregation logic, and delivered the pipeline waterfall and trending reports finance and go-to-market needed. Automation rules and alerts plus validation and training rounded out the deployment so the team could operate it independently.
