Multi-Brand Consumer Electronics Distributor & Remarketer
A multi-brand consumer electronics distributor and remarketer consolidated sales onto Sales Cloud with a SKU upload process, replacing disconnected tools and giving reps a single view of opportunities across thousands of products.
The client is a California-based reverse logistics and remarketing company with 37 years of industry leadership, serving as the distributor of choice for consumer electronics and PC manufacturers since 1988. With a global distribution network spanning brick-and-mortar outlets, online marketplaces, and international wholesale channels, the company delivers end-to-end supply chain solutions including 3PL, refurbishing, and closed-channel remarketing for mid-market and enterprise brands. The sales operation was spread across Monday.com, Outreach, and spreadsheets, with a homegrown tool for inventory. With thousands of SKUs and new brands arriving, the team had no single source of truth, weak product-performance tracking, and limited sales accountability. The company engaged SiiMPLY7 to stand up Sales Cloud as the consolidated CRM and make ongoing SKU management practical.
The challenge
Existing tools were underused and disconnected, so leadership could not see pipeline, reseller offers, or product performance in one place. The catalog spanned thousands of SKUs that changed frequently, making manual product and price maintenance unworkable. New brands were generating far below their revenue potential while excess backstock accumulated, and sales reps had no clear benchmarks or tracking to drive accountability.
The solution
Sales Cloud was configured for the business development and B2B sales motions, with leads, opportunities, and accounts aligned to how the team sells. Products were linked to opportunities so a single product range can be offered to multiple resellers and tracked for performance, and a product import template lets the team load and update SKUs and pricing in bulk rather than one at a time. Existing leads, accounts, contacts, and opportunities were migrated in, and dashboards were built for pipeline, product trends, and team performance.
