Commercial Solar Developer
A commercial solar developer replaced scattered spreadsheets and disconnected tools with a single connected Salesforce hub spanning sales, project delivery, contracts, billing, and marketing.
The client is a commercial solar developer that was managing leads, projects, quotes, and customer billing across separate, unconnected systems. The team needed one platform that could carry an opportunity from first contact through signed contract, active project, and invoice without rekeying data between tools.
The challenge
Sales and project information lived in disconnected places, which made it hard to see the full picture of any deal or account. Quotes, signatures, and payments were handled in separate systems from the CRM, so signed work and incoming payments were not reflected back to the sales team. Without a connected source of truth, reporting and forecasting required manual effort and the company could not easily scale its pipeline and delivery operations.
The solution
SiiMPLY7 implemented Sales Cloud as the central system of record, configuring lead management, opportunity management, accounts and contacts, workflows, approvals, activity tracking, email templates, and reports and dashboards. The team then connected the surrounding business stack: Milestones PM for project tracking, DocuSign for quote signatures and templated contracts, QuickBooks Online for customer creation and payment sync, and Mailchimp for marketing. Legacy data was migrated into the new org for a clean, unified foundation.
