CNC Door Machinery Manufacturer
A CNC door machinery manufacturer brought in a new partner to fix a broken ERP sync and rethink field service timekeeping.
A company that engineers and manufactures high-production CNC door machinery for architectural and residential prehung applications services its installed machines in the field. It used Salesforce Field Service connected to its ERP, and its previous Salesforce partner had moved on.
The challenge
The sync between Salesforce and the ERP had stopped working, so time and job data were not flowing to costing and invoicing. Field technicians logged time on machines through timesheets that created one line per entry, and hours were not broken out by standard, overtime, and weekend rates.
The solution
SiiMPLY7 took over the org, prioritized the backlog with the operations team, and started with the ERP sync, including checking whether deactivating the previous partner's integration user had broken it. The team then reviewed the timekeeping design to capture hours per machine by rate type and roll them into a single line for costing and invoicing.
Implementation highlights
What we built.
- Org handover from the previous Salesforce partner
- Prioritized backlog built with the operations team
- ERP sync troubleshooting and remediation
- Timekeeping redesign by machine and rate type
- Combined time entries for costing and invoicing
Results
The ERP connection was made the top priority
Standard, overtime, and weekend hours separated
Time rolled into single line items
Engagement summary
A focused support engagement of about two to three weeks gave the team a new partner, a prioritized backlog, and a plan to fix the integration and timekeeping issues first.
What's next
Remaining backlog items were queued for follow-on support once the priority fixes were in place.
