B2B Media Storage Technology Company

A B2B media storage technology company moved off Mailchimp and onto Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, unifying roughly 12,000 contacts with its CRM for the first time.

Marketing Cloud Account EngagementSales Cloud

The client is a California-based global leader in intelligent, centralized media storage, serving broadcasters, post-production studios, and media organizations worldwide. Recognized as an industry innovator, the company has won the IABM BaM Award for NebulaNAS, the 2024 NAB Show Product of the Year Award for Unify Hub, and the TVBEurope Best of Show Award at IBC2024. Trusted by major film studios and leading broadcasters including Aardman (creators of Wallace & Gromit), the company's storage solutions support virtually any media workflow from ingest through archive. The marketing team ran newsletters, webinar invitations, and trade show follow-up out of Mailchimp, disconnected from the Salesforce data that the sales team relied on. SiiMPLY7 was engaged to stand up Marketing Cloud Account Engagement and connect marketing to the CRM.

The challenge

With marketing in Mailchimp and sales in Salesforce, there was no shared view of a contact. The team could not reliably segment roughly 12,000 partner and non partner contacts, struggled to tie campaigns back to specific trade shows for ROI, and had no automated handling for bounces, unsubscribes, or lead replies. They needed a connected platform plus the enablement to run it, since most of the marketing team was new to Salesforce.

The solution

SiiMPLY7 implemented Marketing Cloud Account Engagement and connected it to Sales Cloud so prospects, segments, and campaign activity stay in sync. The build included two nurturing engagement programs, a responsive landing page, web to lead forms and form handlers for website lead capture, reusable email templates, and dynamic and static list segmentation. After go live, SiiMPLY7 layered on a structured, multi week enablement and managed services program to drive adoption.

~12,000 contacts

Segmentation lists, templates, and nurturing programs let the team run newsletters, webinar invites, and trade show campaigns from a single platform

Self-sufficient

A structured training and managed-services cadence moved a Salesforce-new marketing team toward self-sufficient campaign management

Engagement summary

SiiMPLY7 delivered a connected Account Engagement instance with nurturing programs, lead capture, and segmentation, then transitioned into ongoing enablement and managed services. The platform went live and the team began running real campaigns, with SiiMPLY7 supporting data sync, segmentation, and template work through approved hour blocks.

What's next

Likely next phases include deeper data cleanup and migration to sharpen segmentation, a structured support portal for ticket submission, and evaluation of further Salesforce capabilities the client has flagged interest in, such as additional marketing automation and service tooling.
